Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: For all of my weddings I take a 20% deposit once all paperwork has been signed. This to ensure I secure your day in my diary. This deposit is none refundable. A month before your wedding I will get back in touch and ask for the remaining of the balance.
Q: Do you have a set number of group shots you will do for us?
A: Group shots can be tricky. Which is why I recommend no more than 10 group shots (not including a whole guest shot). The more group photos there are, the harder they are to arrange… especially as I won’t know your guests. Having less group shots takes the pressure off yourself, your guests and myself. Giving you more time to enjoy with your family and friends. A few months before your wedding I will send over a group checklist.
Q: Are you able to travel further than 50 miles for my wedding?
A: I love to travel! Currently for my half day packages I can travel up to 50 miles from my location. For my full day package I can travel further, but if it is further than 65 miles then i will need to add an additional cost on for overnight accommodation.
Q: I need to plan out my day, how long do you spend doing couple shots?
A: I understand that weddings can be quite tight when it comes to timings, so I like to take at least 20 minutes of your day just for couple photographs. We can simply wander the grounds, go for a simply walk, or do whatever you like.
Q: We’re really camera shy, will you still be able to get natural photos of us?
A: Nobody really likes having their photos taken, so I get why you’d be nervous. Some random person coming up to you with a big camera isn’t exactly the happy surprise you’d like on your wedding day, so this is why I don’t want to be a stranger. I take the time to get to know you both before the big day. A great way to get used to being photographed is an engagement shoot. This way you’ll get used to my relaxed and natural style and feel more comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day.
Q: Do you require a meal?
A: As some wedding venues are out of reach of normal convinces, to save time and ensure I don’t miss any important or spontaneous moments I would really prefer to have a meal included. But if this is an issue, don’t worry, I’m happy to bring along some snacks and a packed lunch to keep me going.
Q: How long will it take to get my photos back after the wedding?
A: I’m a little bit of shutter bug, so I can take up to two thousand photos on just one Wedding. So to ensure I completely edit your images to a high quality I aim to have the private online gallery live to view two months after the ceremony. Usually I’ll have your wedding photos ready earlier, but just incase anything goes wrong (touch wood) I can get everything sorted out in this time.
Q: How many photo will I get?
A: As a rule, I prove a minimum number of photos, and not a max! This way I don’t need to limit what you receive, and I don’t have to choose what photos you get. I want you to get the best photos, so instead of choosing my favourites, you get to choose! With my half day packages I provide a minimum of 300 high resolution images, and a minimum of 450 for my full day packages… but you’re definitely going to get more!!
Q: Am I able to print my own copies of the wedding photos?
A: Yes, of course! Once you receive your link to your private wedding gallery you are able to print, download and share with your family and friends. You have full printing rights!
Q: Can I get a wedding album in my wedding package?
A: I don’t actually offer it in my packages, but this is an extra you can ask for. I don’t include them in my packages as this way you don’t need commit to this extra expense, and you can ask for this after you’re wedding. Gives you the freedom to choose. I’m proud to offer large, hardback, flat-lay wedding album in a choice of colours and textures. Pick your favourite images from your day and I will expertly arrange them in a professional yet simple way. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch.
Q: I’d love to have an engagement shoot before my big day, is this something you offer?
A: I love love love engagement shoots! It’s a great way for me to get to you know before the big day, plus you get to experience my relaxed and natural style of photography. I want to feel more like an extension of your guest list, and less like a worker. Also, the shots are great for invitations!
Q: With your full day packages when do you usually start and finish?
A: I like to start mid-way through the morning prep, so when the bride is having her makeup done or when the groom is getting suited and booted. The time is up to you and depends on the run of the day. From here, I’ll be there all the way to the First Dance. I also like to stick around for a little longer so I can get some fun shots of your family and friends tearing up the dance floor! On average my day is 10am to 10pm.
